Small but interesting improvements in this new version of the Access 2021 license

Here is a brief list of new and modified features in Access 2021. There are only three new and modified features in the premium Office 2021 and Office LTSC 2021 bundles.

Delete, link, or refresh linked tables

The Access license database includes a linked table manager that provides a central location to view, manage, and consult all linked tables.

Occasionally, you will need to delete, refresh, find, modify, or re-link linked tables due to changes in the table schema, data source location, or table name.

New extended Date/Time data type in this Access 2021 license

Microsoft has implemented the SQL (Structured Query Language) DateTime2 data type in Access to enhance syntactic compatibility with SQL and to improve the accuracy and detail level of date and time records. For example, a wider date range and higher fractional precision.

Keep track of your Access database objects

The active tabs are clearly visible, tabs can be easily rearranged, and database objects can be closed with a single click. Tables, forms, and reports, as well as queries, appear by default in tabs. By selecting the tabs, you can switch from one object to another. Open objects are visible and accessible through the tabs, and you can always view objects in overlapping windows.
